I tried to upcycle some Christmas balls right before Easter.
My clever tag line: 'buy when it is cheap' did not help to sell them.
Mannheim people rather spend 4 Euros on a cheap Curry Wurst (without knowing where the meat came from) than buying custom painted Christmas balls. Customizing them with a Easter theme did not help much either. Finally they got sent over the ocean to cheer up some Canadian kids.
